Notation Guide

1. Define Section

section_name: beats key tempo

c1: 64 g4 190 → Section "c1", 64 beats long, key of G4, 190 BPM

2. Add Track

- track_name: instrument volume pan

- vocal: violin 1 .5 → Track uses violin, full volume, centered

- bass: abass 0.8 0.5 → Track uses acoustic bass (shortcut), 80% volume

3. Set Track Start Time

section.track: beats_offset

c1.vocal: -4 → Vocal starts 4 beats before section begins

c1.bass: 0 → Bass starts at section beginning

4. Define Rhythm

- | durations | (in beats)

- | 1 1 2 | → Three notes: quarter, quarter, half

- | 1.5 .5 1 1 | → Four notes with varying lengths

5. Define Melody

- | notes | (use note names, numbers, or shortcuts)

- | c4 e4 g4 - | → C-E-G, then hold G (tie)

- | . e4 d4 c4 | → Rest, then E-D-C

- | c4-e4-g4 . | → C major chord, then rest

6. Add Lyrics (Optional)

- | text |

- | . ki mi ga | → Rest, then syllables for each note
